September 23rd, 2016 | by Nick

David Bowie’s last public appearance before his death was at the opening night of Lazarus, a musical he wrote with Enda Walsh as a sequel to the film The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976). Actor Michael C. Hall, who plays the lead in Lazarus, joins the show’s producer Robert Fox to discuss the influence of both the film and Walter Tevis’s original novel, as well as Bowie’s involvement in the show and the singer’s identification with Thomas Jerome Newton.

Q&A hosted by BFI programmer Justin Johnson.
