Behind The Scenes at the new Philippe Auliac Bowie Expo

The city of Poitiers welcomes a David Bowie exhibition of photographs taken by Philippe Auliac , Poitevin photographer and friend of the pop icon at the Town Hall, from February 29th to March 26th 2016.

Nicknamed the ” paparazzi rock ,” Philippe Auliac was one of three “official” photographer David Bowie for nearly 40 years. Since his first meeting with the artist in 1976 until his last days, he has taken more than 6000 pictures of the singer and followed more than 250 concerts.

This exhibition is 25 photos from the collection of Philippe Auliac highlights the life and career of the rock star chronologically .

Through pictures of scenes or just his life, photographs of his close friends like Iggy Pop , Lou Reed or Mick Ronson, discover these little known shots.
