Nick Stephenson, Musician and Founder of Bowie Tour London comments:

David Bowie was a huge inspiration to songwriters, performers, artists, fashion designers and film makers all over the world. We thought the best way to honour him would be to take a musical journey through his early life and also celebrate Brixton – a place that Bowie supported over the years.

I’m a lifelong David Bowie fan and there have been times when the information I’ve researched for this tour has surprised, delighted and warmed my heart, in a way that no other musician’s life ever could.

I hope people will come along and enjoy the experience together by singing some of his wonderful songs or just by soaking up the rich culture of Brixton, whether they are massive fans or just want to learn more about the great man and his hometown. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Lambeth Council for their continued support of this project.

Landmark areas of the tour will include:

David Bowie Mural – Discover the story behind the mural

Bowie’s Birthplace and Primary School – School days and family life for the young David Robert Jones
