Alternate versions of songs from the Ziggy Stardust album up for auction on May 21st (Listen to clips)

Amongst other rare David Bowie items up for sale in Omega Auctions’ Music Memorabilia sale on Tuesday 21st May are two tape reels containing demo versions of the tracks that would appear on Ziggy Stardust.

Typically the tracks are ‘rougher’ and without effects. Heard here are tracks that split across the two reels (seen at lot number 413 and 414 in the catalogue) to include Moonage Daydream (alternate guitars), Hang on to Yourself, Round N Round and Five Years (heard without orchestration).
