Sotheby’s is pleased to present A Rock & Roll Anthology: From Folk to Fury, a kaleidoscopic survey of the history of rock & roll, pop, folk, and punk. Featuring important manuscripts and memorabilia from the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Eagles, and a rare offering from the Sex Pistols’ seminal album Never Mind the Bollocks (the original working autograph manuscript of “Problems”), among others. A highlight of the sale is John Lennon’s Broadwood Upright Piano upon which he composed “A Day in the Life,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” and many other iconic songs.
