Fascination in David Bowie has only grown since his death in January 2016. In Bowie at 75, Martin Popoff examines the rock icon through the lens of 75 career accomplishments. All 27 studio albums are featured, as are a curated selection of earworm singles. But Popoff delves deeper to reveal the events that defined Bowie’s career: appearances with artists like Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Tina Turner, and Queen; key performances such as Live Aid; collaborations with incredible guitarists Mick Ronson, Adrian Belew, Robert Fripp, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Nile Rodgers; film and television roles; and more. From his 1967 debut LP and ending with 2016’s Blackstar, Bowie remained one of the most influential musicians and performers while constantly redefining himself.

This unique look at Bowie’s career from folkie to breakthrough single “Space Oddity” to flamboyant glam rock alter ego Ziggy Stardust and beyond is illustrated with live concert and candid offstage photography as well as memorabilia. This incredible package also includes a gatefold Bowie timeline, a gatefold painting depicting “A Party of Bowies,” a previously unpublished 8×10 glossy print, and a 13×18 pullout by famed gig poster artist Frank Kozik. The result is a stunning tribute to one of the most admired stars in rock history—in a milestone year.
